For much of my early adulthood, I had little interest in experiencing, much less living in, real-life L.A., despite my lifelong obsession with Old Hollywood. Then a good friend moved there, and I began visiting fairly often... and fell absolutely fucking in love with the place. Best to you!

L.A. was the first truly big city I ever lived in so it was terribly exciting (well, Van Nuys), so it will always have a fond place in my heart.
