You may choose new targets for the copy. 3, Tap: Copy target instant or sorcery spell you control. You may choose new targets for the copy. 4, Tap: Copy target permanent spell you control.

Cumulative upkeep is a triggered ability, which means you can copy it with things like Lithoform Engine to put more age counters on the permanent, which you normally wouldn't want but for Braid of Fire it can be quite nice if you have something to throw all that mana at.
