Ruby Throated Sapsucker?! First time i've seen this behavior and WOW! I've been trying to catch a Hummer chasing or catching wee flying bugs for a minute now, that's a very hard thing to do. So this morning I'm out following the Hummers around in the trees and saw this guy having a drink. #birds

A Ruby Throated Hummer having a drink from a recently refreshed Yellow Bellied Sapsucker hole. Helps explain another food source for these little powerhouses. Now I just need a pic of one catching a mosquito! :)

Always thrilling to see a pileated woodpecker, but to see the woodpecker fly down and take a drink next to a dipper!!!!!! Whoa! The dipper is in the second photo if you can spot it!
