My take on Al'ar in our AU warcraft campaign. Stuff happened. He’s an “undead” ash phoenix to go with the fact Kael'thas is a vampyr. Also new ref sheet layout! I like that it looks more sleek. #sindorei#worldofwarcraft#losteventideart#wowredux#art ]

Reference sheet of an undead version of Al'ar, the phoenix that belongs to the elf king Kael'thas Sunstrider. Depicts a legless bird with feathers plucked on his neck and chest. His chest is a network of flesh and ribs and glows with a yellow light from within that is mirrored in his eyes and mouth. He as a plume of feathers on his head, and a long tail with massive feathers. What feathers remain are a sunset of gold, orange, red, magenta, and purple, and the tips of them are burning like cinders and scattering ash. A silhouette of Kael'thas is shown to show his size, and he comes up to Al'ar's beak.
