As a big ol' dork who has been politically engaged my entire life, I always had a candidate I wanted to win the election, but the 2020 election was just an awful bath of dread, and the 2024 election is the same. I don't expect things to get better any time soon.
I've said multiple times that watching the last year has been like watching a long, drawn out version of The July Crisis prior to World War I: a dark comedy of the dumbest, worst people in the world doing their level best to make sure an infinitely avoidable war wasn't avoided.
