So this was like, the first threadfic i posted on twitter and i’m not sure how i feel about it 🤷🏻♀️ i did edit it a bit to make it less messy. But idk how i feel. I hope people enjoy it lol My longer threads are gonna take so long to post 😭
He’ll have to finished counting them another evening.
And if he just so happens to settle even closer to Chuuya than before, that’s no one’s business. Dazai sweeps his eyes over his partner's face one last time before shutting his eyes and slipping easily to sleep. The sounds of Chuuya’s slight snoring filling his ears.
As a yawn suddenly takes him, he realizes he actually feels sleepy for a change. Dazai lets his thumb sweep over the freckle that started all this one last time before removing his hand. He slips it back under the blanket and pulls the covers up, adjusting to a more comfortable position for sleep.
With a small sigh, Dazai lets a smirk slip across his lips. He will need to remember to tease his dog for breaking his own rule about crossing over their assigned sides. Along with claiming victory of their earlier argument, seeing as there’s a small bit of drool in the corner of the slugs mouth.
It’ll likely be his only moment like this, and that’s ok. But…there’s a traitorous part of him that hopes it’s not going to be the only one.
His eyes wander once again over Chuuya’s face, trying to spot every freckle. He even notes a small scar just below his temple. He will allow himself this moment, Dazai decides. Just this once.
