you would not think this would be a huge problem, but university websites are so bad that every academic in this country just googles various keywords until they manage to get to the correct page to book annual leave or check their timetable
Oh, the sheer variety of dysfunctional platforms that any single University can offer its staff is quite something.
This is how I, professional administrative staff, make sure the information I give students is accurate and up-to-date. University name + whatever the question is.
Was once in one of several focus groups on redesigning the uni website. One of two academic/academic-related staff in the group of 15. That told me a lot. They had other focus groups for students. The redesign was as bad, if not worse. I had never had to 'google' what I wanted previously.
