Thanksgiving Fun 🎞️🧪🦃 Roll of Panatomic-X that expired September 1957. Rodinal (1+100 / 1 hr. stand) seems to have done the trick. #BelieveInFilm

Backing paper for Kodak Panatomic-X film.
Box for Kodak Panatomic-X film. It has an expiry date of September 1957 and was packaged for cameras that use 620.
One frame of the drying negatives after developing the film.

Ah, square format, Rodinal, and an Olympia SM9. Good times.

Charlotte, I once developed a roll of Plus-X 32 years after I shot it and it came out just fine! For medium/low speed B&W films, stored in reasonable conditions, it doesn’t seem matter much!

Very nice. Panatomic is known for its longevity but still, that's an impressive looking negative for a film from the 50s.

As I'm not really set up to scan anything larger than 35mm, a quick phone photo (using an iPad as a backlight) still shows some promise. #BelieveInFilm

Olympus typewriter on a desk accompanied by a knitted chicken with a cape for Halloween (we call her Camilla, a-la Muppets) and a plant pot resembling Frida Kahlo.

Since I do not have suitable equipment to scan film of this size, it is not a high-quality photo. It is to illustrate that a roll of film expired 67 years ago still yields a nice image.
