Really every Alien is a reflection of Hollywood at the time, and it's jarring because they're all 5+ years apart and bridge major industry shifts. Alien is still naturalistic 70s. Aliens is big 80s action. 3 is that pre-Jurassic Park period when Hollywood didn't know what a 90s movie was yet
