Eh, I can understand it. If you've got a big enough backlog, you've probably got better things to do than to work off a branch that's subject to change, or may not even get approved. and merge conflicts are annoying, lol

Being awake, life in general, working my ass off for mediocre results, getting lapped by friends and acquaintances, finally making some progress in one direction, only to be flung backwards by forces out of my control. Y'know, the usual.
So damn tired...
...but (in my experience) they're usually pretty receptive, and their advice is often helpful. Sometimes you even end up with a new friend to chat with!
So, people are asking to buy your art? That shows that those asking value your work. Aiming to impress is hard. If you haven't already, maybe it's worth trying to reach out to some of the artists you want to impress and asking for feedback? It doesn't work all the time...
