I don't think you can ever be prepared for one of 'those' classes. Seriously don't beat yourself up. You've been teaching a long time but you haven't taught this class for a long time. Try and be kind to yourself.
I'm still using Twitter. It's a bit weird juggling both. Will see what happens.
It doesn't reflect on you. When there's a lot of challenging behaviour and/or high needs in one class it's a lot. Take time off if you need to. At the end of the day it's just a job. No point making yourself ill. Also, it's really early days. Things will hopefully settle a bit.
