Mass General Brigham, the largest health system in MA, is reinstating masking requirements on Jan 2. It joins Boston Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Lahey Health & other MA hospitals. Why was this not done weeks ago at the *start* of the COVID surge?
I never stopped wearing masks indoors. Saves a lot of grief.
because americans need to fuck around to find out.
No hospital should have ever *dropped* those requirements. It's health care, ffs.
I "liked" seeing the local health people posting on the 26th about protecting friends and family by getting vaccinated. 🙄 You know, something they should've been hammering a month or two earlier.
It’s done right after the holiday because everyone expects a huge surge from holiday gatherings. It’s planned in advance. A lot of health systems do the same.
Nice ( well not that it took this but )

Seriously. I was there December 13 as a patient. *Nobody* was masking except my primary care physician, and she's an outlier.
I was at a cancer center last week. Maybe 10% masking would be a generous estimate.
Does this include Children’s /do you know? Spent 3 months there this fall and rare to see anyone masking even in ICU (except us)
