Nassau County, NY just signed off on a mask ban law that is effective immediately. Here's a great summary from NYCLU on your rights: www.nyclu.org/resources/kn...
The boomer brain remains undefeated
Also, I'm annoyed that the masks shown look like surgical or reusable cloth, nothing like an N95 or the like.
That's terrifying. Nassau was always the more liberal county of Long Island. I don't live there any more (thank goodness), but it's frightening that an old lady with a cane (like me) could be arrested for hobbling or driving along the street in a mask to avoid covid!
NY Democrats are something else.
The law is so vague police could arrest or charge anyone $1,000 this Halloween - dressed as a president the cops don’t like? It’s so vague kid birthday performers should charge $1,000 just in case. Same as for house repair workers that need to mask Comicgame con costume goers could be arrested
1/ In Nassau County, you can be stopped by a police officer anywhere in public just because you are wearing a mask.
Here's a ridiculous question: If I'm on, say, LIRR toing through Nassau, do I have to take off a mask between the edge of Queens and the edge of Suffolk? I'm guessing "yes"? smh...
Nassau County just explicitly told me they do not want my Tourism dollars.
if you choose the mask it is just as much your right as wearing pants hat dont fit
