Confused why this wasn't reported.
Whilst sponsors are losing licences, there are no real solutions for victims beyond finding alternative employment. This is not easy despite what you may hear about vacancies. People I speak to have lost everything and are trapped. www.theguardian.com/society/arti...
Exclusive: RCN renews call for investigation into sector as unscrupulous employers target vulnerable workers
Iāve not been long in my new job and Iāve already seen examples of whatās described. Of note CQC registered agencies. Agency is banned via skilled worker route - yet Iāve seen several examples of it. Home Office denying visas to children of migrant health workers. Keep seeing these cases. Situation made worse by the lack of a right of appeal. Rules are bad in isolation, but their application is abysmal in my experience. t.co/jTrgECe80L

Some news from me. I will be Head of Immigration @WORCrights from January. With everything that is happening and will happen in the world of immigration law, Iām really excited to get to work with these amazing people. Letās go 2024!
I missed this from Friday. Confirms they still donāt know whether those renewing visas will be impacted by the increase to the MIR. Astonishing this position is still not finalised. Adds to the story that this was made up last minute. homeofficemedia.blog.gov.uk/2023/12/08/r...
New statement of changes here: www.gov.uk/government/p... Looks like some more watering down of EU citizen rights, needed changes to visit rules, consolidation of some routes and interestingly removing āliving together inā from the partner definition.
