That does sound good! If it (or something comparable) ever becomes available in my country, I'll give it a try. For books, those samples you get off amazon are very useful, but they seem more hit&miss for manga (where some only give you a few pages of the actual comic).

Yona of the Dawn was good from the start but I just cried three times while reading volume 18 and I just love Zeno so much. It's hard to pick a favourite with this cast but if I had to, maybe...

But I think I'll have to go with something black&white for now because oof, the colour stuff gets pricey!

Oh nice, I've read a bit of Taming the Final Boss (another thing I want to go back to someday...) but didn't know the author had another series. I don't really care if there's age gaps in fiction as long as it's interesting to read because, well, it's fiction. I'll have a look at it!

There is one thing to do with the final boss in FC that requires a certain bracer rank, but if you've done any sidequests at all, you should be good for that. Speedrunners even have to actively give "wrong" answers during some segments even with no sidequests to avoid the extra content iirc.
