PSA: If you donated to the Harris campaign from a foreign address, there is an email doing the rounds that says you have to upload your passport for compliance. It is very professional-looking, high level fraud. The email addresses are fake, but you have to check.

An email claiming to be from "HFP Compliance Team" signed Chene Karega that requests uploading your passport to verify a donation to the Harris campaign. The email address is fake.

How did British words find their way into American English? In this week's Grammar Girl podcast, author @byagoda.bsky.socialpodfollow.com/173429229

a promotional graphic for a new interview on "Grammar Girl Conversations." On the left side, there is a photograph of a smiling man standing outdoors in a mountainous area, wearing a grey fleece jacket, beige pants, hiking boots, and a red cap. On the right side, there is a bright orange background with text at the top that reads "New Interview" and "Grammar Girl Conversations." Below the text, there is an image of a book cover titled "Gobsmacked! The British Invasion of American English" by Ben Yagoda. The book cover is a bright light blue, with a British flag inside a teapot and an American flag inside a coffee cup. At the bottom right corner of the image is a cartoon character representing "Grammar Girl," with a brown pony tail, glasses, a pencil behind her ear, and wearing a green sweater over a white collared shirt.
