Same here. Didn't go to any of my graduations. I could have cared less. Went camping or started a job instead.
The data must have been updated last time I looked. It was 2-3% and considered ârareâ. I recommended to people that had similar event(s) to report it to CDC to help capture adverse events. Such data helps inform the future.
I had shingles on my scalp and in left ear. I was slammed with medications (anti-virals, etc) to prevent it going into my eye(s). Thankfully, no lesions. It was as if there were microscopic insects crawling on the nerves all over my scalp and in my ear. Thought I was going insane. đ
That didnât stop me from subsequent boosters but I did get the shingles vaccination as soon as Medicare supported them. 2/2
Shingles events were more common following the 1st mRNA COVID vaccination than admitted by health authorities until finally reported in 2022. One ER MD said he had more presentation of shingles post-COVID vaccinations in 3 weeks than he has ever had in 1 year. 1/2
This central database is welcomed. A point of view from my yrs in academic veterinary pathology (clinical & research), the complicated issue is still humans. You can provide information & guidance to farmers, owners, even private veterinarians, etc, but they still do what they damn well want to do.
This still remains on my personal bookshelf. Bought 2 copies. Lab members often created ditties with the sub-chapter titles of Chapter 1 (e.g. "Steppin' Out and Taking the A Train...."). The book was often the basis for topics in our animal/veterinary virology journal club.
Not surprising. It also reveals a perspective difference by age. I dare say most college students (undergrad) are still bundled within their small ego-bubbles. It's still an extension of high school, especially in the US where their exposure to cultural diversity is limited.
Congrats!
I asked the psychologist what made him suspect I have mild ADHD. He replied a clue was that I changed my career path 4 times. (And degree track 3 times) đ (My response, âItâs all science based. I stayed on the same train, just switched train cars.â)
