Visited there last summer and had a wonderful time! The view from inside the Schwebebahn has its moments. There's also a great sculpture garden in Wuppertal!
love it, got friends living there and we go on the monorail often. a more accurate but awkward description of it would be "suspension railway" but whoever says that haha
Do transit nerds like it for anything else than being rare? When I had to take it it was not very pleasant and pretty narrow compared to a normal german tram or subway
