I live in Brazil. Discs are generally more expensive, BUT, they have resale value. There's a huge second hand market in most developing countries. So it still makes sense to buy physical media, even with the eventual discounts in digital.

Makes sense if you want to resell them, but I have a fixed collection I'm never giving away. I have SD cards with all my games on them, and when the console is no longer supported, all I have to do is switch out my SD card and boom. Permanent long-term collection.
