Not sure if the Welly and Auckland operation are owned by the same people but I worked there as a student 20 years ago and basically survived on the cheesecake I brought home from work. At the time we also donated all the leftover bread though.

I do remember them donating bread back in the 90s and early 00s, but also remember that they'd stopped doing that by 2011. And since then, they've gone emphatically in the opposite direction.
