One single bigoted user can't do much harm. But a bigot who deliberately outrage-farms 500,000 followers, exploiting a known vulnerability in the algorithm, poses a much greater (and qualitatively different) kind of harm. Bluesky's features so far seem to prevent that outrage-farming exploit.

The newcomers complaining about "echo chambers" on Bluesky are frustrated. They thought they could show up here, post some shitty takes, and outrage-farm themselves into a huge following. Instead they're being shunned because of an exploit mitigation technique that's been designed in.

The amount of people I know who use faith to justify bigotry is wild. The Venn diagram of bigotry and Christian justification of it is always a solid circle
