I’m definitely not saying Australia is better than the USA or vice versa, but I urge people on the left not to oversimplify complicated issues, whether it’s immigration, healthcare, or the Israeli-Palestinian situation. HOWEVER—

There are simple issues contained within these complicated issues, for example, that people seeking asylum shouldn’t be murdered with razor wire, just letting people die from medically treatable injury or disease is morally wrong, and killing civilians is bad.
