So, yes, there is a conspiracy surrounding the human creation of extreme weather … it’s just not THAT one
Oil companies have known for **decades** that fossil fuels would cause stronger, deadlier storms—and we have the receipts. We compiled internal documents dating back to 1979:
Big Oil knew monster storms were coming. We have the receipts.
Internal documents over the last 45 years reveal the fossil fuel industry has long known their products would supercharge extreme weather.
1. It’s not happening 2. It’s happening but humans have nothing to do with it 3. We did it but warmth is good 4. Well, too late now so why bother? I feel like proponents of continued fossil fuel use have moved through varying amounts of that progression but it never arrives at changing behavior.
