1/2 I've noticed this with all religions - we forget they didn't happen out of space and time - and they adjusted according to changing circumstances - until at some point, everyone said - we can't adjust to changing circumstances anymore - we are now cemented in stone

2/2 (all except for those core tenets - the ones the faiths were centered around - be a better person, take care of the vulnerable, the weak, the poor, the stranger - those the religious leaders have decided are malleable according to the leaders' political needs)
