i wish reading wasn't such a tedious, thankless job. that's why it can go to entry-level folks who show proficiency in their sample coverage. it's also a volume gig. the more you scripts you can read, the more money you make. not an ideal system, when you think about what's at stake for the writer!

anyway, the me of today is very sorry to the writers of 2013 whose scripts i tore through as part of my weekend pile. you were part of my hollywood education, and you made me a much better writer. i hope i didn't ruin anything with my (green, unqualified) opinion.
