The new CCA #compsplatoon circuit format is simply the greatest format ever made and I wasn't involved in making it. This upsets me greatly. Imagine SAC circuit, but each qual is a layer cake / FLUTI 1-day tourney. When I say they are genuinely one of the last good online tournaments, this is why.

Leagues suffer from burnout. Majors suffer from not enough time in a day and consistency. Weeklies / monthlies suffer from matchup discrepancy and low longevity. CCA format solves ALL OF THAT and has length. This means teams stay together, which means better broadcasts. It has MEANINGFUL STRUCTURE.

ITS ACTUALLY SO PEAK im so tired of round robin into single elim leagues, CCAs is so cool and genuinely interesting it made me so happy to see them experiment this season

The only part I don't like is swiss because I just fucking despise swiss lmao. I get why tournaments use it, especially larger ones, but I'll always prefer round robin groups over swiss. But I'm not CCA's audience so that doesn't matter that much. I was too old when it even started lmao.
