Thanks for that. Apparently the “@label” is read as the normal form, instead of using “[@label]” for that, as Quarto does. I was able to add the “prose” version but it’s super convoluted if you are writing in Quarto and not Typst syntax. Hopefully this can be fixed.

Clever solution! It looks like Quarto needs to be updated to parse the #cite command. I don’t need a project but I wonder how hard that is…
