Well, both are pretty common words. Especially 期待. When I learned 受話器, I wasn’t exactly sure when I’d actually get to hear it spoken, but then I heard it almost immediately in the ending theme to Kakushigoto. Granted, the ED is from 1981 so 受話器 would’ve been a lot more relevant in discussions.
I’d love to live in California if it didn’t mean that I’d have to live in the US. Eternal summer sounds like my kind of thing.

I actually wanted to get proper takoyaki, but it was a takoyaki stand without any takoyaki. Guess tako's too distant and exotic, so it was tonakaiyaki instead.
