I am legit TERRIFIED of what’s going to happen to my dad. He rents, I’m his only family and I’m broke af with no way to support him if needed. He still works at 70 because he loves what he does but he can’t do it forever. He’d rather die than go into a nursing home, and I mean that literally.

Poppy died of a heart attack while mowing the lawn after a stroke. Grandma died of Alzheimer’s and he did everything he could so she could stay home. I don’t have resources to do that and he knows it. I’m so afraid that one day he’s just going to walk into his calamity closet and just not come out.

My brother hit a cow on the highway and was in a nursing home, and even the good ones are pretty bad, understaffed and just bad and they cost a fortune
