How could it have come to this. A complete lack of understanding of who they are dealing with. Starting to suspect there might be more like Sullivan and Biden lurking. Oh well. Hoping for the best with the new leader and her hopefully new set of advisors.

It's certainly something to consider, but then again, Moscow doesn't seem to worry much about attacking Lviv, clear on the other side of Ukraine. That would be like Ukraine attacking Vladivostok. I think anything west of the Urals (that is, "in European Russia") should be fair game.
They are already waging war with the US, and they still want to normalise relations? They should ask permission from its citizens first.
