Very well said about Germany lol. I'm an avid train traveller and I can say that the majority of trains arrive mostly on time, which should be the standard for everyone that plans ahead the slightest bit. Often, delays come from trains waiting for late transferring passengers, so it does chain a bit

I see, that's quite a foreign concept to me. It does enable the company to monitor their customers even more closely, so I get the criticism in that regard. But if it's just about the act of having to show the card, then yeah, that outcry is pretty dumb. Thanks for the explainer :)

I love my flat, our toaster is literally activated by holding down the lever and taping it in place, and twice a year you will think OH FUCK WHY IS IT BURNING only to realize that you should probably clean out the three centimeter tall pile of burnt residue at the bottom
