I'm an avid train traveller and I can say that the majority of trains arrive mostly on time, which should be the standard for everyone that plans ahead the slightest bit. Often, delays come from trains waiting for late transferring passengers, so it does chain a bit
I see, that's quite a foreign concept to me. It does enable the company to monitor their customers even more closely, so I get the criticism in that regard. But if it's just about the act of having to show the card, then yeah, that outcry is pretty dumb. Thanks for the explainer :)
