The Blue Mage Spell of the day is: Shock Strike! There isn't a huge amount to say here, it's just some nice extra burst damage every minute. As mentioned yesterday it's picked over Mountain Buster in most cases simply because it has way more range

Being physical does make it better than most primals in specific carnival stages where magic damage is bad, but overall it's just not used that much.

also addendum: it's 8 potency gained from SPS *per cast*, not per DoT tick.
which for reference, the latter 3 spells combined out-dps sonic boom on a per-GCD average by 3 potency and you'll use that way more so ignore anyone who tells you to pick one or the other as far as these spells go.
and by that I mean about 8 potency more overall, generally. Which is nothing and will never cost you a run. the people who shit and piss themselves about feather rain being better than eruption are the same people who use sonic boom over whistle/tingle/fire angon
