A student wrote this on a reflective essay for an end of the semester assignment: "The way Dr. Jansen taught this course allowed her students to feel as though they are worthy and smart. Even if a student got something wrong or felt confused... (1/3)
...we would have opportunities to “revise our thinking.” For the first time, I genuinely was not embarrassed to mess up. If we answered a problem incorrectly, instead of saying we were wrong, she would simply say “your answer is right, just for a different problem. (2/3)
