Most cocaine to Sweden arrive at the Helsingborg port which deals with all refrigerated (bananas!) container cargo from South America to Sweden. Today I learned that a permanent scanner in the port would enable customs to control every SA container, effectively killing that route.

Cartels would ofc adapt and find other ways into Sweden, but it still sounds like a surprisingly easy solution to a growing problem. Quite expensive though, ~5M euro, maybe that is why I havent heard of it before. But Swedish criminal justice system is due to grow more than £2 billion now..
