Basquiat at the Serpentine circa 96. Not apparent as an influence so much now but was over my college art/sketchbooks, that raw get an image down with writing style. Seen Rothko in multiple places and it always left me cold. Guernica is impressive though, I had no idea it was that big.
Pumpkin waterfall, which reminds me I need to get going on my annual Halloween painting for my better half 🎃👻
I wish it was. Best thing I saw last week was someone saying only Boomers like AI images (fuck calling them art) because it all has that Jack Kincade sheen. Which is unsurprising given how much 'art' all that shit scraped off facebook, like poisoned the well for all water.
If something that begins with John Millius introducing himself as Arnold in his accent, then Arnold introducing himself as Millius but making zero effort changing his voice, it's for you. Pretty sure it's on the bog-standard Conan DVD I have somewhere.
I feel like there's so much despair among creatives about AI, I feel it too. But I think there are many of us who are together in this boat. So sound off if you're a creative who denounces AI. Art, music, writing, photography, textiles, anything at all. Share your HUMAN MADE ART below.
Cheers! I use the trad Rider-Waite Tarot deck as inspiration but the cards are so flat (drawn by a theatre designer) they need some dynamic perspective.
Righto, I'm more human than human. Inline with that, some human art, namely 4 of my Tarot cards. These are all acrylic on paper.
