Obama talks down to black voters because (1) he canât/wonât talk down to white voters; big no no (2) dems take black voters for granted; they can disrespect us and still expect our vote and (3) it makes white liberals who ARE excited feel good to know that theyâre better than the âlow-infoâ blacks.
Today, Meena Jagannath and Felipe Mesel of the Movement Law Lab kick off a series that explores how movement lawyers across the world are challenging rising authoritarianism and neoliberal hegemony. lpeproject.org/blog/movemen...
In a time of rising authoritarianism and neoliberal hegemony, movement lawyers understand that the law and legal institutions primarily serve to protect capitalism, rather than everyday people.
They had a non-aggression pact, not an âalliance.â And the development of the USSR was not colonization. The feelings of the Poles, as a Black American, is not a metric I use to evaluate for the USSRâs support of liberation movements throughout the third world.

Good @awprokop.bsky.social chronicle of Dems' leftward shift on econ policy in the last decade. Substantively, this was a development I loved to see--but its sheer failure to yield any political benefits in the Biden years was dismaying, and warrants sober reflection! www.vox.com/2024-electio...

If you're reading about the judge rebutting the Georgia election board tonight, keep in mind: there are other places that may fall in the hands of election deniers this fall. this series of counties in Florida, for one: boltsmag.org/florida-supe...
Prominent election deniers are supporting a slate of Florida Republicans who are running to lead local election offices. But roughly half of the slate lost in Tuesdayâs GOP primaries.
