Confederacy fell, but Jim Crow, or Confederacy-lite, rose, and existed a hundred more years. At least, if you count the civil rights acts of 64 and 65 as the end of Jim Crow. Given the SCOTUS nostalgia for Jim Crow, I'm not sure that Confederacy-lite is dead.
