Same. GDS was the first workplace where I felt I could thrive, not just survive A lot of it was having a DM/PM to handle/unblock things getting in the way of me doing the work I was interested in. The people & culture thing was huge too: feeling like it was ok have a different working style

There are downsides to this idea: Too many events may dilute the impact of the main event or lead to more silos .... But I think the benefits are greater. Anyway, putting these thoughts out in the open in case anyone has experiences or similar thoughts to share
