These 3 formed part of a series of my textile art which exhibited in various places between 2014-2016. Called Etifeddiaeth, it was based on the Welsh tale Cân Heledd/Heledd' Lament & I am about to cut them up & recycle them to illustrate the life journey of a woman in early medieval Wales. #Wales

I do love a plan. And lists ...

Probably not. Compared to staring at a computer screen hoping someone in cyber space notices what you're selling, I'd take foghorns sounding through icy fog any day. Have a bowl of hot soup and warm up.

Llangeinor mountain is littered with legend, folklore and archaeology. Final resting place of St Cein, daughter of Brychan Brycheiniog, aunt of St Catwg & great aunt of St David. The mountain was looking particularly lovely on yesterday's walk through ice mist.

Cake auditions for the Logburner Experience Afternoon to raise money for Crisis@Christmas are continuing. This is Sticky Gingerbread - definitely one for the grown ups. It might get served with a piece of flavoursome cheese, possibly Wensleydale, possibly a good strong Cheddar.

Forget Black Friday - it's Snowman Saturday! Come and support artisans (like me) at your small independent shops & craft events. I'm at the Makers' Market at Rhondda Heritage Park today. #SmallBusinessSaturday#ShopIndie#SupportArtisans

A lovely Thursday morning spent in the historically rich town of Llantrisant. Had a very large piece of Coffee & Walnut cake sitting next to Dr William Price's actual clothes (!) in Gwyneth's Tea Rooms at the Guildhall (b 1346). Book was 50p in charity shop. #Llantrisant#WilliamPrice#WelshHistory

I squeezed in an hour's me time today for my favourite hobby - Trig Point bagging. Been chasing Hotine Pillars for more than 30 years. This one looks right across Swansea Bay.

Currently writing an essay on practical challenges faced by lone itinerant women walking across early medieval Wales & have come to the bit on river crossing. So I went to view the ford on the River Ogmore at Newmill - it's looking beautiful but distinctly unford-able today.
