I have a subscription to a Saturday print newspaper. A while ago, I bought another Saturday paper because it had a review of my book in it. When I paid for it, the cashier girl exclaimed “That’s so expensive!” It is, but that’s the price of proper journalism (and paper and transport) I guess.

Thanks, Marieke! Yes, some things are definitely worth paying for, and I just enjoy reading printed copies (newspapers or books) too much to completely switch to the electronic version. I just didn't realize how much the prices had gone up since I last bought a German newspaper.
