Super Paper Mario contains 33 distinct entities all named "Invalid Goomba". While they are easy to dismiss as duplicates, there is evidence to suggest that during development, there might have been a separate purpose and story behind each individual Invalid Goomba.

technically speaking, i believe it might just be for a lot of scrapped enemies that didnt get added. but im unaware of a scrapped chapter where these would be used.
