What really strikes me is that many people tried to undercut our campaign by saying “there aren’t *actual* Nazis on Substack”, and yet here the founders have confirmed not only that there are absolutely Nazis monetizing on Substack, but that they think it’s good. And welcome more of it.
I knew about the Nazis, but the fact that you all got them to be this wantonly disgusting on the record by running the campaign you did far exceeded my initial expectations for it, so credit where credit is due, and apologies for talking openly about how the impact was probably going to be limited.
