We enumerate kinship for everyone in Sweden in 2018 and provide counts by cohort (age), and all show kinship by maternal/paternal lineage, as well as complexities arising due complex families such as half-siblings.

There is surprisingly little descriptive information on kinship in contemporary societies (with some exceptions such as grandparenthood), and what we know is often inferred from indirect methods such as microsimulations.
