Irony Alert: on the eve of its third attempt to launch a "military reconnaissance satellite," the state-run news agency takes nations to task for the militarization of space and launching of spy satellites.

The launch window for North Korea's third attempt to launch a military surveillance satellite opens tonight. Weather calls for showers overnight and rain on Wednesday. Better weather is forecast later this week and next so I wouldn't be surprised to see them wait for that.

So it looks like North Korea is ready to try again with a satellite launch. Navigational warnings issued for November 22 to December 1. Typically, they go as early as possible during the window so we can expect tomorrow maybe.

First image of North Korea's military parade. It's an Umbraspace SAR image (satellite-based radar) that can be tough to interpret, so I included an older visual image to help. Troop formations, vehicles & TELs are all visible in the image captured at 2216 local time.

An unusual late-night missile launch from North Korea tonight/this morning, according to NHK quoting Japan's Ministry of Defence: "2023.7.24 北朝鮮から弾道ミサイルの可能性があるものが発射されました。続報が入り次第、お知らせします."
