if you look back through all of shu's presentations you will see he has a knack for nailing the "graphic design is my passion" aesthetic.

It's just "hey so lets make a compiled language so we can move the complexity elsewhere" which is valid but imo not very good for the simple case of "adding a small script to an html file without any bundling step"
