I learned Ticket to Ride from others & never realized how gendered the rulebook is. (I'll put some examples in comments.) This response to a request to change it sounds to me like "we're fine with our massive gateway game calling players "he," until we feel like getting around to changing it." UGH

Question: When you are approached to do contract work for a charity, do you ever think about donating your time? Or do you offer a reduced rate? Just wondering what folks generally think about this. Thanks!

Is anyone really saying this? As a designer I am pretty confident now it is definitely not - I've had multiple instances of games being delayed due to Asmodee buyouts, and they have recently standardised contracts which has led to drastically reduced royalties compared to those under former studios.
