It's a sentiment I've seen echoed about this game before, but it really would've been the perfect stepping stone to a truly spectacular game had the studio responsible not been shut down *the exact day this game released*. Fuck NetEase, man.
34. Visions of Mana The phrase gets tossed around a lot, but this game absolutely "feels like a PS2 game [complimentary]," right down to the way the story is structured. It's a shame, then, that you can acutely feel where corners and story beats had to be cut. 8/10
33. Phantasy Star Online [Normal difficulty] Playing offline is kind of a mindless grind, but playing online with actual humans is a total blast. The fact it works as smoothly as it does *on fucking dialup* will never cease to amaze me. 9/10
32. Another Code Recollection The English VA's rough, the graphics are a *real* mixed bag, and the puzzles aren't quite as inventive as what they had on the DS, but these are ultimately solid, engrossing remakes. Here's hoping Hotel Dusk sees this kind of revival soon. 7/10
31. Natsumon A charming, bittersweet game with a great art style, let down by rough performance on Switch. Giving you control over how quickly time passes may have been a mistake, it's too easy to optimize the fun out of it and run out of things to do too soon. 7.5/10
30. Incredible Crisis (replay) Not all the minigames are winners, and the amount of times some of them repeat is a bit disappointing, but that ceases to matter in the face of the goofy humor and infectious OST. Doesn't overstay its welcome, either, it's short and sweet. 8/10
