I did not handle this dynamic well and couldn’t avoid being the latter and I’m envious of the people who can do the former

As someone who has to politely have these conversations daily, I try to sway the conversations to liberal points that I know they agree with but won't admit are liberal points. Today some guy was spouting about govt handouts and I said like the corporate handouts and no tax paid by billionaires.
