I think that’s a too optimistic take on human nature. Most territory in the world is run by violence specialists. I don’t see why a Palestinian state wouldn’t resemble Lebanon, Syria—or the PA, where Hamas and IJ still exist and periodically engage in terrorist violence. (Or Israel, which does too.)

There should be a Palestinian state because Palestinians have the right to self-determination, and I think it would probably be a more stable and peaceful situation than the current one. But I think violence against the enemy will still be a part of political competition in Palestine and Israel.
