If you seriously think we’re up against a fascist threat, then we need to organize a popular front. I think both are true. For it to be more than a normal political coalition, by definition it has to include people we think are truly odious. That’s basically the entire point.
even trump doesn't repeatedly brag about actual white supremacists being in his coalition, he mostly dog whistles. similarly, it's a CHOICE for harris and the dems to brag about support from the architects of the Iraq War, who are hated by republicans and democrats alike

The popular fronts of the 1930s failed; the Soviets never inended them to succeed. While the various European popular fronts were windly denouncing fascism, Stalin and Hitler were cozying up. We need a new strategy.

Putting my personal contempt aside, my problem is on logistical grounds. Who, exactly, is out there now that gives a damn about Dick Cheney? The neocon warhawks are like 90-10 for Trump. Wouldn't putting emphasis on his endorsement turn off a lot of people who rightly hate the guy?
